I'm suppose to be purée but I've been eating real foods since a week and a half out and I'm fine. Just small portions of course.

It's all in moderation. The surgery is a tool for Portion Control. With that being said I eat as I please but with limits

I am 8 months post op. I like to say that I eat normal foods in abnormal amounts. There is only ONE thing that I can think of that I have wanted since surgery but haven't eaten. That's an Oreo. I don't know exactly why...I have eaten fast food: McDonald's, Taco Bell, Subway...I have eaten regular restaurant food: Chili's, Outback, Cheesecake Factory. I eat very little of what I order, so I get what I want but try to make mindful choices. I have lost 105# since surgery on 10/05.

I will start off by saying that everybody is different. To be honest, since I've been pregnant, I eat what I want when I want and am still losing weight. The only difference is that instead of 5 slices of pizza I can only eat maybe one (w/o the crust) or it takes me 3 hours to eat a sandwich (made with sandwich bread not a hoagie) I do know that I could have lost more by now if I make better choices but my OB and surgeon is ok with my weightloss so far. Also after I deliver, I will kick it into high gear so that I may reach my goal and my RNY will not have been in vain.

I just want to get at 200 before my doc appt on 7-30. Then if I get down to 200 I can incorporate fruits and veggies. Everyone pray for me!!!!! PLEASE!!!!

Everyone is always talking about how they are following the diet nd what the dr said. Did anyone eat whatever and still llst it??????[/quote']

Why are you still eating only Soups and soft food at four months out ? What did your surgeon recommend , four months out you should be eating regular foods just in smaller amounts and watch the sugars .hell eat a steak, but a small one;)

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
