I'm in the pre op stage have completed the requirements, just waiting for everything to get sent to my surgeon, and then get it into insurance my surgeon thinks August. My highest weight was 360, and that was last May after moving to a new town since then I worked out for 1 hour and 45 minutes, have had set backs with injuries to my ankle not once but twice, and my bulging disc flared up and wasn't able to work or workout, but didn't let it get me down only gained a couple pounds, but have lost that. Went to see the surgeon couple weeks and was 321 today I weighed myself I was 314. It helps that I see a dietitian. The hospital wanted me to lose 30 pounds and I have gone past that, really going to help when I get a chance to get exercising again, right know I'm doing pt, and hoping to be done with that tomorrow. For people that are thinking of getting gastric bypass, I recommend doing as many dietitian appoints you can even if your insurance doesn't require it. You learn a lot, and lose weight, it then shows your insurance that you can lose weight, and keep it off. Good luck to anyone that is pre op or post op.

Lapband removed and bypass on 3/6/13. HW 265, date of surgery weight 230, weight today 190.5. I'm 34 and 5'6".

Things r going well. Except I seem to b slipping back into old sugary eating habits. It scares me. And I can eat more than I should b able to. Still super happy I had the surgery.

I'm still in the pre-op phase. Going to get my feedback from the psych eval next week and my last NUT appt is the 19th. Then we'll submit to insurance and play the waiting game :/. My highest was over 330 as of March 2012. I got down 280 and now I'm 285. Trying to lose 10lbs before my last NUT visit via the Pre-Op diet.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
