afraid not going to lose enough

Recommended Posts

I was 258 day of surgery Oct 22, today 7 months later I'm 177. I just feel I have this mental block that I'm not going to lose enough. I'm working out and staying around 600-1200 calories. Just weight loss has slowed lately. Am I paranoid or is it normal to feel this way? Thanks

That is still great success....maybe you need to increase your exercise or change it up. Sounds like you hit a plateau.

Thank you! I'm trying to do more. Get out walking more. Did first 5k last week and pushed double stroller. That was something big I did for me. Just panic sometimes and obsess over everything at moments. Do you weigh week of your period of and weigh ins?

jessiam... how tall are you? What is your goal weight? The closer you get to goal the harder it is to get there. You know those people you have hated your whole life that say... I just need to lose this last 5 pounds!!!! We are now those people.. lol!!

That's right! That's my mom right there. I need to lose 5lbs and she does. Now I'm the 2nd smallest in the family besides my youngest sister. She's 103 lbs

As I got further in my journey the weight loss has slowed. In fact I stopped getting on the scale everyday because it never really changed. I weighed myself this week and I had actually dropped a few more pounds. I am also still losing inches because my pant size is still getting smaller.

My doctor told me right away that once my weight gets under 190-200 pounds, the weight will come off slower. That I will just need to make sure to keep doing exactly what I've been told to do and it will come off just not as fast as it did before.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
