Surgery Dates for July

I'm scheduled for this Friday, 7/26, and I'm both excited and nervous. Thanks to all of you on the July Team for your words of reality and encouragement.

Hey everyone! I'm new to posting but wanted to say thanks for sharing!! I have surgery tomorrow at 730a! The closer it gets the more nervous I become but most of all I'm just really excited!!! I live ready about everyone's experiences! Can't wait to start my new life!!!

As I post this you should be about 8 days post op. I pray u did well. I'm excited for you n fort myself also. But wen it hits home to us n starts feeling real then that will be great!! My surgery is Aug. 6Th. !!!! God bless.

Hey!! I'm doing great, thanks for the support! First week was a lil rough but doing a lot better now!! You only have a few more days!!! Yay, you can do it! I'm excited for you! Let us know how your doing!!!

Those are awesome losses ladies!! My sd was 7/3 and I'm down 63 lbs :-). Feeling great and loving life!

      Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

        As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

        Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

        Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

      Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
