My surgery was May 20, 2016. Lost 46. I am getting discouraged because I see many of you have lost way more:( I think I should have lost at least 60 pounds.

My high weight was 237. Surgery weight 232. Current weight 191.

That's 41 pounds in 3 months....stop comparing yourself to others and embrace your success! You are doing fabulous!!!! Take pride in your accomplishment and enjoy the journey instead of only looking at the destination. Sometimes the journey is the best part! You will get there, you don't have to be there on a specific date as long as you get there.

I think you are doing great and that you are on a great path! 46lbs in a little over 3 months is great. And just think we have not even made it to 6 months yet let alone 1 yr. A lot of times I become very impatient and I wanna lose my weight right now. And then I realize that I haven't even made it to 6 months yet and I'm like wow or I look at a picture and look at my progress so far and i'm man it really is working. Keep doing what you are doing because you look great! Also your starting weight in my opinion is on the smaller side and it seems like from what I've seen on here that because you don't have an awful lot to lose (like myself) that it tends to be a little slower but that it does come off. So again I think you are doing great it sure looks like it.

Don't get discouraged, I'm the same I have stalled, but I'm grateful to have lost what I have so far! Keep on track, stay focused you will get there.

I would have to say that's great! As you can see it's not all about the number of pounds lost in such-and-such amount of time. It's about feeling better, being healthier, and all those rewarding personal milestones we reach along the way. Things like fitting into a size you haven't worn in years, being more comfortable on an airplane, enjoying a vacation, actually doing something with family or friends instead of just watching, painting your own toes, wearing a bathing suit, losing the back-boobs, saying goodbye to plus size departments and hello to attractive clothes, having more confidence, liking yourself again, looking forward to the future, feeling joy, having hope, and on and on... :-)

My surgery date was May 8, so I am at the 5-month mark. I've lost 71 pounds, but I've had some problems occasionally. I got discouraged, slowed down, sped up, and so on. I feel better, but I know I need to work out more to get rid of the saggy skin! I've been trying to just keep in mind that I didn't put the weight on in one day; it is okay if it takes time for it to come off sometimes. (Yes, even going in the fast lane!)

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
