Everyone cheats on the liquid diet. You should be fine. Some doctors dont even require the liquid diet. My doctor required a 5 day liquid diet to make the liver smaller. I doubt your surgery will be cancelled.

I was told if my doctor found food in my tummy or intestines the day of surgery, he would sew me up and send me on my way. The lady that works for the hospital told me he's done it. You really need to stick to it the last week and no. I didn't cheat at all. I lost 22 pounds in the two weeks before surgery. Of course, I pigged out the two weeks BEFORE that...so I felt fine about it. :)

The first week, I ate a few crackers one night cuz I was super nauseous. ;(
