What's the reason for the creation for so long?

I think because I was a revision from band to bypass. I had two drains. They took one out today and the other will stay un until my month follow up. It helps with the gas and bloating.

Well my intestines finally woke up! Yeah. liquids in' date=' liquids out. Ugh. Sorry for the TMI.[/quote']

Good for you, I had been having BM, but it looked so different and the color very dark, I thought something was wrong with me, today I'm not feeling good, I feel like I'm stuck waiting for it to move, I think I've overdosed on the broth, lol

How long did it take? I'm on day 10...no bowel movement

I had a BM three days later, before I left the hospital they told me my bowls were moving and it would be any day, they were right.

I'm not sure if this is the place to join' date=' but I just found this forum today and what awesome information I've found! It has also been great to see that everyone so far has had pretty good experiences. I am having surgery on 6/19 (revision from lap band). I am 30 years old, mother to two little ones and I'm super nervous, but feel peace about my decision. I'm looking forward to sharing my journey with you![/quote']

Welcome! I am having surgery on 6/25. I am so glad I found this site. It has helped me feel like I am prepared, even if things don't go perfect.

Just found out I'm having robot assisted laparoscopic RNY. Apparently the stand you on your head for the entire procedure because of the robot.

So they tell me I can look forward to swelling around my face and neck. Hmmmm that doesn't sound like fun at all

I had mine done robotically and I laid flat just like normal surgery... Weird they would tip you!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
