You look great! I don't think your weight stats listed to the left of your post are up-to-date so I have some questions. How much weight did you lose and how much do you weigh now? You're from North Carolina. What city or town? I'm from outside of Charlotte.

I weigh 182 now which is a loss of 188lbs. I live outside charlotte too in Monroe. Where outside charlotte are you? When did you have surgery? I had mine June 2013.

I live in Clover SC and work in Charlotte NC. I had surgery October 15, 2014. I've lost 115 lbs to date and I'm buckling down again right now to lose the 65 lbs I need to lose to get to 160, my goal. You've lost what I hope to lose by the end. Congrats.

I feel so much better than before the surgery and can walk without pain, fit in any seat and not have to search so hard for clothes. I am so glad I did it.

Thanks for sharing.

Kind of an NSV I can feel my collar bones and hip bones now but they hurt! My collar bones are so sensitive!

I'll be vacationing in Charlotte next week and going to carowinds to ride roller coasters all day which another huge nsv for me.

I am able to shop in some big stores in NYC and before my weight loss I couldn't even go inside the store because the clothes wouldn't even fit me. I shopped at club Monaco and was able to fit into their mediums. I was a size 14/16 and now I can fit into size 8/10 in Ann Taylor and the loft. For shirts I was XL and now I can fit into M/L. Even in the train I don't need a lot of space to sit like I used to before. My handbag and I can sit in the same seat next to each other. Plus people even look at me and smile. But I still feel I am big...my mind is still trying to catch up with my body.

Enjoy the coasters. I'm sure walking around the park will be much easier. Congrats on your NSV.

@Lthomas I just started the Zombies, Run 5K last week and it's a lot of fun and completely doable. I'm about 7 weeks out from surgery now and I'm amazed at the amount of energy I have.

Great job on running -- now did you think you'd ever be a runner? lol

OK -- seven weeks out and 34 pounds gone -- after one more pound I'll be halfway to goal. After 2 more pounds, I'll officially be overweight and not obese (by BMI standards). Incredible feeling!

Here's a before and after face picture which I think is pretty telling -- I can see a big difference in the roundness of my face and my neck is significantly thinner, too. I've got to get a good full-body shot to show the difference in the tummy. I'm down 1 jean size but two shirt sizes because the pot belly has shrunk so much.

I had been on insulin and pills for 20 years. Yes, 20 years! My doctor told me I no longer need them anymore! Bought tears to my eyes!

I can now walk into any department store and buy regular size clothes! Seat belt issues are a thing of the past. I have the confidence to wear clothes that actually fit properly and not hide behind big, loose tops. Yup, life is good! :)

Had an NSV I didn't expect. I packed for vacation tonight and my clothes didn't take up the whole suitcase. They actually didn't even take up half the suitcase. I guess that means I can just bring more clothes with me right?

Oops -- forgot a big one --

Been having trouble with the CPAP machine keeping me awake at night (sleep apnea). I called the doctor and took the machine over to the clinic to have the pressure lowered from 11 to 8 (all attributed to weight loss). However, for the past 2 nights, it's still bugging me, so I have an appointment to see the doctor in about a month and I think I'll end up going off it for good. For now, I'm not using it because it interferes with more than helps me sleep.

THAT's a big NSV.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
