I don't know why they have to use staples on small incisions.

HW 358 SW 344 CW 325 GOAL 200 surgery 4/11/13

I no I figured they would of sewed it or glued but no I have 15 staples

Mine were glued and taped too. That looks painful' date=' but I have one that still hurts some. I would ice that to keep swelling and redness down. Ice has saved me this last few weeks.[/quote']

Omg stupid me I didnt even thank about ice im heading to the freezer now

I'm very sorry to see that. I personally never seen that. I have had a LOT of stitches and staples but' date=' that looks not good.[/quote']

It doesnt feel so good how are you feeling after surgery

Newby to this site. Just had surgery on the 25th. Got out of surgery at 6:00 pm. On the 26th I was released at 1:30 pm. Had a long ride home, wish I would have stayed a little longer at the hospital. All in all though awesome experience so far. No trouble drinking water or any other liquid. Had a little trouble with protein drink today, think I drank to much. I will learn though. Went into Surgery weighing 289.9. Have goal weight of 179. Look forward to reading all your post. This blog and support is great.

We had surgery on the same day!

How are you doing so far? My pain is very manageable, just a little tender. I had 6 incisions all real small except one(about 2 1/2 inches). All healing up well. No problems with taking in water. Been eating broth, auger free Jello and Popsicles, DR even said I could start puréed foods today. I thought it was a little too quick but I tried a couple bites of egg beaters and cottage cheese today and did great. I was surprised. I am concerned about getting enough protein in me but that's about it
