My surgery was May 28 and I am still drinking and eating clear liquid items. I have my follow up on Friday. I know we have to do the stages but I am kinda of ready to eat regular food. Just to have a taste of a good hamburger or a good chicken salad. I am just waiting until that day.

I am so with you on that!

I am about 5 days out now, Feeling good, but worried about the fact that I do not feel full. How would I know if I have too much in my pouch? I am so worried to "leak". I am on Clear Liquids with Protein Shakes 3x a day. Today I felt very sad and angry though, because I couldn't actually eat food. I'm not hungry, but miss the feelings associated with eating. :(

I am one week out and just the other day I was thinking how some foods I ate just a week an half ago would be good, and whoaa I cant it that anymore, and it did make me sad thinking about all the different foods that I used to eat that I can no longer eat. But after the day went on I forgot about those foods and carried on. Got to remember we are now eating to be healthy and living to be happy. Good luck and shoot me a message anytime you want ok.

Mine was may 30th and I'm doing well. No complications and came home next day. Apart from Protein drinks I'm tolerating cream Soups well. Walking is getting easier. Can even sleep on my side a bit which is helping with the gas.

And speaking of sleeping.... Omg I'm sleeping more hours a day than I'm awake. I know my body needs it but I can't remember sleeping this much in my life.

Had my surgery also on May 30th. They have a routine of keeping patients a mininum of three days so got to get out on Sunday. Very glad to hear you are doing very well.

I had surgery May 17th and I'm doing very well!! Im on soft foods. I think I've hit a stall. I've lost 12lbs since surgery and stayed the same for the last two days. I kind if did this before surgery too. I would stall out then a week later would loose and loose then stall out again. I guess that is going to be my pattern of loosing.

Glad everyone is doing well & how exciting it is that we're finally on the losers bench!!! :)

Today I am officially 1 month post op. I went from 328lbs to 286lbs and for the last week have hit a stall & it's frustrating but some loss is better than nothing!

Lost 20 lbs since surgery on May 14, came off fast at first (too fast to continue), slower now, but still losing. No more pain, sleeping on my side again and sometimes on my stomach. Almost on regular diet, just have to be careful, chew really well and take lots of time. Back to work after two weeks, I followed all the rules from the start and I really think it paid off. Here's to a new life! :-)

I needed to hear that, too, thank you! I feared the dreaded stall, and guess what? It's happening, been over 1 week now . I know I should do more, but energy is low. I find the head hunger starts up the longer the scale is stalled....kinda like before surgery. I would tell myself, " aw, you're not doing this, so what does it matter?" That evil thinking is what caused me the weight gain to begin with. I DO NOT want to mess up this time.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
