I'm still not getting in enough Protein. After six weeks post op you would think I would get it by now but NO. I didn't mind the Protein Shakes at the beginning but now I can't stand them. I am only getting in 30 to 40 grams a day. I have the feeling that is why I am only loosing 3lbs a week. Just don't feel like eating and nothing really tastes that outstanding. The thought of eating every 3 to 4 hours is so not working for me. Getting in the fluids is not bad except I forget sometimes. Thanks for letting me vent !

Its tough the first 3-4 weeks, then you find what works best for you and your taste. I am almost a year out and I am still trying different things but my main goal is to get that Protein in no matter what. After time you will find what works best for you.

According to MyFitnessPal I got 75g of Protein today. Only one Protein Drink, the rest in foods. It's all about finding foods with Protein and combining them in ways that taste good.

Thanks everyone, the advice really helped. I went and got several different Protein bars to try. Most have at least 15g of protien and under 4 g of sugar. I really want to speed up my weight loss to 5lbs a week instead of 3.

Congratulations to Jerz on the pregnancy!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
