Yup, about 3 o'clock was my crash time too! And yes, if you had much caffeine that's probably part of the misery. Post-op I'm tired but otherwise feel fine, no headache, not miserable like I was pre-op! PLUS!!!!! Not hungry one bit! It's a strange sensation to just never be hungry.

Can't wait to start the optifast… do note the sarcasm there… I get to have three weeks of shakes :) but I can have chicken and beef broth, black coffee and herbal tea as well as SF Jello and SF Popsicles. Can't find the Popsicles tho. :(

I make SF Popsicles for my granddaughter from crystal light. I picked up the molds from Wal-Mart they are less then 5 dollars and well worth it for me not to be feeding her sugar all day long since we live in sunny HOT Florida.

I am doing Optifast strawberry and chocolate. Sf Jello, water... Cant handle the Soups . Had a little Peanut Butter today because I honestly thought I might pass out. But I am down 4 more pounds. Doctor said he would like me to lose 5 to 10 pounds. I was down two before I started so I think I will be okay. The first day of my time of the month is always horrible.

Your welcome pays to have a 6 year old granddaughter. Let me share my other ideas.

My new china and glasses for post surgery. No way I can over eat using these.

Looks great! I was thinking of picking up some children's dish and spoon set. Something small. And a few small (4oz) tupperware containers for work. Might work for me. ?

On day 6 of the Optifast diet and kinda miserable. Saturday was awful, I was starving all day. I finally resorted to a small salad and felt a bit better. Sunday wasn't great either but I wasn't as hungry as yesterday. Maybe I was better with the Water and Snacks. It's all a blurr these days!

Haven't tried the chicken Soup but have almost gone through a box of Tomato Soup. I did add some garlic, onion flakes, Italian seasoning and Parmesan cheese to make it tolerable. Helped a lot and seems to make you feel fuller than the drinks.

I also have been mixing a vanilla and chocolate drink with some ice and a squirt of chocolate Syrup to make "milk shakes" Shared with my boy friend and 3 year old nephew and neither would drink them! Lol. I thought it was pretty good, so it must mean I'm getting used to them!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
