yogurt help!

I need to know the same thing. The lowest I found for non fat Greek yogurt was still 7g of sugar per serving. Is that a lot? Is there a sugar free/fat free Greek yogurt?

I like Dannon Light & Fit Carb Control yogurt. It's hard to find it, but usually I can find it at Wal Mart. It comes in vanilla or strawberry flavors. If I can remember correctly the carbs were 4 or 5 on it. Sorry I am out of it right now.

I use the great value light nonfat yogurt from Walmart. I get strawberry banana and blueberry and I tolerate them well. i have tried numerous greek yogurts and other high Protein yogurts but they hurt my pouch and or I don't like the taste at this point.

I usually just get the nonfat greek yogurt, usually Dannon. I then add sugar free Jello mix. I think it tastes great that, and I usually one use strawberry. I have also tried the Dannon Light & Fit ones. I believe they both have about 8 carbs a serving.

I use Fage plain Greek yogurt and then add Splenda and various types of sugar free jams. Also, Kroger has a light Greek yogurt ( their own store brand) in various flavors that I like. Both kinds are low in sugar!

My nutritionist also told me I should only have plain yogurt and maybe add splenda or sugar free jelly. So I went out and bought plain yogurt with sugar free preserves. I haven't tasted it yet but yeah I was bummed I couldn't have the already made yogurts. It would be easier. The only flavor I really like is strawberry anyway :)

I have been having either Fage or Chobani 0% plain greek yogurt. It never occurred to me to look at the sugar contents because my doc and nut both said to eat it! I have found that it tastes great mixed with PB2 or Just Great Stuff powdered Peanut Butter (or even the chocolate peanut butter). I've also mixed it with caramel sugar-free coffee Syrup (Toryani) and a few slices of mashed banana.

My nut said to stay away from any of the pre-flavored yogurts and to always go for the greek yogurt because it has more Protein. It is easy enough to flavor yourself and it will be better for you than what they sell pre-mixed or in those little cups (like the Fage singles).

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
