Love the gym

Recommended Posts

I NEVER thought I would be the person who loves going to the gym but now it's my favorite thing to do. I love taking the classes step, cardio kickboxing, aqua boot camp, sculpt, powerflex, Zumba and just recently took TRX. It has become part of my daily routine. I did not get the surgery to be skinny I did it to be healthy and the ONLY way to reach my goals. My entire life has changed since the surgery. I am so blessed!!

I enjoy going to the gym also!

I have been going for 3 months now and most of the workers greet me by name when I walk in! ^_^

I would love to go to the gym-but prefer to go when people can't see my fat jiggle lol

I just started back to PF yesterday. You plug your earphones in and watch one of the 10 TV's. I go and watch Rachel Ray and I'm done. Everyone else has ear phones on too and they don't care about your giggle. And if you wait to go with someone, you'll never go.

Yes, there is not one near me either. I have a treadmill at home. I need to get a TV or a tablet so I can watch tv. I get so bored.

I tried googling this, but after I walk about half a mile or so, the bone in the front of my lower legs hurt. Not sure why. Any thoughts?

I go to Planet Fitness... Is there one near you? It's a whole different experience' date=' it's a gym for people like us <img src='http://www.bariatricpal.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />[/quote']

I have one near me, but I haven't heard much about it. I've been looking for a gym, but I haven't found one I like yet. How is Planet Fitness a different experience? That sounds interesting :)

I thought it might be the shoes, but someone told me, if it was the shoes my upper legs would hurt, not the lower. I don't know if it is shin splints, but I doubt it. It only hurts when I walk anything over half a mile

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
