I have a question! Some Surgeons keep you a liquid diet for 3 weeks and and say pureed or soft at 21 days, what is phase in order?

Liquid, puree, soft foods, then regular, but I have found it difficult eating "regular" foods. I revert back to eating a lot of soft foods.... Refried Beans, yogurt, etc. I have the best success with those too.

I am 51 and had my RNY last week. It’s not easy but I still believe this is the best option for me. It’s the tool I need to help me reach my goals. Best of luck to everyone!

Good luck to you. I'm 51 and had mine done on 11/7. The toughest part that I have found so far is making sure not to overeat. Knowing where your limit is. So far I have lost 34 lbs...

And all the congregation says--- AMEN! Sorry long evangelical background, mine Church of Christ, Methodist, maried into Nazarene and Church of Christ in Christian Union, must have been 12 before I found out not everyone goes to Camp Meetings and Revivals! So mine is L0LBPTL. Laugh out loud but Praise the Lord!
Nothing wrong with that. Lol! I was raised Baptist, attented Pentecostal, and end up going to Non Denominational. All believe in Christ our Lord. The most important connection. Have attendend many, many revivals and camp meetings. Lol! Believing in Christ for the support to follow the directions to make this a fabulous life changing year. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Clear liquids, full liquids, purees, soft foods, normal foods one at a time to make sure your new pouch will tolerate them. Best wishes for your success! Merry Christmas

I had at 55. Lost 80 in first year. Now at 14 months and starting to gain. Want a tip...don’t rush to add back in alcohol. It only increases your desire to eat carbs.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
