I found this in another post and thought it may help some of us. There is an app called 'rxmind me' that is available I know for iPhone and I think for android. You can set reminders for your pills on it. Also saw another app called waterlogged to track Water.< /p>

Well starting my pre-op liquid diet today. All very exciting. I have my nutritional shake to take but not sure what else. Will be in contact with my dietician first thing this morning.

This is gonna be hard I think. As I have a conference this week.

But I know it has to be done.

Hang in there!!! You can do it! :)

Don't be surprised if they tell you shakes only and be prepared for the headache.

Been waiting in pre op for about 3 hours now waiting for the operating room to be free. Met with anesthesiologist and doctor already. I'm hungry and thirsty trying not to think about my mother and daughter in the cafeteria eating a steak and cheese and fries! Lol

Instead think about all of the energy and new cloths you will have from not eating steak and cheese! Best of luck with your surgery check in and let us know how you are doing once you feel up to it.

They aren't off eating they are just in the waiting room. They are waiting to hear that you are doing great.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
