My surgeon told me 3 meals and two Snacks a day' date=' the rest of the day Water. He says it helps decrease stress on our digestive system. Also helps metabolism. I went from 440lbs to 165lbs in 9mo I chose to go up to 195lbs cause I was crackhead skinny lol. So no, give your tummy a break between meals :0)[/quote']

Wow. Great weight loss

I need to find lots of recipes to use once I start eating real food!!! All I know how to cook is stuff loaded with butter, sour cream and other fattening things in it!!! I have no idea how to cook healthy : (

I started using eMeals Low Carb for 2 to make meals for me and my hubby. The recipes are super healthy and there is more than enough for me and him since I can eat so little. It was worth the $20 for 3 months just to get a grasp on a new way of cooking. If you sign up use "DAVE" as a promo code and you should get a discount.

I'm having 2 tablespoons of split pea and ham Soup with cheddar on top. It's....really really really good. I took a taste and thought...that's pretty close to divine.

Take it slow, you have the rest of your life ahead of you to enjoy food again. Two weeks after my RNY I had chicken & veggie soup I didn't puree well enough and my stomach wrenched to the point where I had a GI bleed in my sleep and almost died... All from a 1/2 in piece of super moist chicken! I don't mean to scare anyone, I just would hate to see anyone go through what I put my self through! Congratulation's & welcome to the family!

You just scared the crap out of me. i feel really full still and I'm wondering if a piece of that ham wasn't chewed well enough...it was just a couple of little pieces in that soup but I regret them. I'm not getting foamies...and I'm getting Water down. I'm not even in pain. I just feel really full and it's been 2 hours since I ate.

Now I'm really freaking scared.

Split pea was my fav @ purée stage,

I'm on the soft phase...so I thought it would be okay. It was literally like 3 tiny pieces of ham. How can you tell if food is stuck? Would Water still go down?

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...
