I am so happy for you Amanda---enjoy every second of your pregnancy---it is an amazing time of your life!

Congratulations!!

Seems my problems were MSN issues, not LBT issues....is all better now!

Just sitting around relaxing----I saw Rick hesitate each time he passed the game on the TV---so if I am on here, he is ok watching it!! He actually put it on while I was in the shower, so now I am catching up with all of you and he is getting his football fix!!

Well I have lots to catch up----so will go do that....and check in with y'all later. Will be hit & miss for a few days with Rick being on days off, we always seem to be doing something!!!

Add my congratulations to the bunch, Panda!

Anybody but me starting to get worried about Judy and Haydee? The last we heard from Judy she was going out to her hottub as Bob had already gone to bed. Who has her phone #? And it seems like it's been a week since we've heard from Haydee.

Concerned in SC,

Cindy

Hey Vi's...

Anybody else awake @ 5am Eastern time?? I've been up since 3am! :D

I got up to pee & haven't been able to fall asleep again! Between thoughts swirling in my head & dh's snoring (w/ a cold -- yuck!)... no zzzzz's. So I gave up & came down & got on the computer!

This is the second night in a row that I've been awake @ 3am & can't fall back to sleep... I love me my sleep... this drives me crazy... which then makes it harder to fall back to sleep... a bad cycle...

Wah.

5:45am & still up @ the 'puter...

I've made some lists for the upcoming *surprise* trip in Feb... did some Ebay surfing... etc...

DH just left for work... maybe I can doze off now?? But ds wakes me up @ 6:30am... bleh.

Today I'm meeting my college roommate for lunch! That will be fun. It's in VA, tho... so it's 1 hr drive each way, + 2+ hours to eat & chat & catch-up... so it'll be the main chunk of my day! Otherwise, it's just a regular day... work, laundry, etc...

Ok then! Can't think of anything else to say! Make it a great one, Vi's!!

Suzy, I think you showed amazing restraint. That kid would have gotten an earful from me right along with her idiot mother. If she was foolish enough to follow she would have been in tears by the time I was done with her!

Laura, I'm new so I don't know what you used to look like! But you're gorgeous today right?

Morning gals.

I flipped my mattress yesterday when i cleaned my room and I slept so great last night other than having to pee, for the first time in days.

I got my mail yesterday and should not have opened it. I had 2 mtg pmts due and I knew I was going to have nasty grams but I paid them on the 31st and should have just tossed them, so i was stressed, but know they were paid. I hope to have my taxes done by the 20th and get money back and get my shit paid off. I only made $15,000 this year and my health ins and taxes should eat that away so I'll have a negative income which means big tax return - which is how I'm paying for our violet trip so I'll be wanting to send my share in the 1st week in Feb if that is ok.

OMG -19 with windchill and monday it is going to be 50. No wonder why everyone is sick!

Everyone is so quiet - has anyone heard from Judy? I am sure Haydee is around, I know she gets busy and goes a few days without checking in but Judy does usually check in daily.

off to drink my coffee

Michelle, I'm sorry you have to "waste a day" but I'm sure you will have a great time. Have fun!

Thanks for the invite from the other board I posted on. I have read several posts and I am excited to get to know everyone and get some support.

My name is Shannon and I have been married for 13.5 yrs and have two boys. I also have a home daycare and help raise 12 more children (lol).

I was banded on April 26, 2007 in Mexico by Dr. Ortez. Love him! I have not had any major problems. My biggest thing is reminding myself to take small bites and chew chew chew! I have had 3 fills and need a fourth. I have lost 90 pounds as of New years day. I don't really have a set goal in my head of what I want to weigh. I think I will just know when I am where I should be. With that said probably 60-100 more pounds to go.

I have not exercised in so long. I really should have my butt kicked. I just can't get motiviated. My boys are so busy with sports at night that I have to go to the gym at 4 am to get my work out in and I hate that. Help motivate me.

Thanks for sharing your group with me.

Shannon

Welcome to Lori and Shannon. You will find over time this is the place to be. This is one of the best supportive groups to belong to. Glad you're here.

Panda-- Congratulations. You must be walking tall right now. Take good care of yourself.

OK Girls, Today is CTCD. Everybody needs to be on their best behavior.

Drink.

Drink.

Drink.

Tip for the Day. It's actually two tips. Good Luck to all.

Take a shower or bath when a food craving strikes. It will relax you, and keep your whole body occupied and out of trouble (i.e., the kitchen) until the craving fades.

Phone a talkative friend when a food craving strikes. Call from a corded phone outside the kitchen, and stay on until the craving fades.

Found is and thought I should post it here.

Don’t Quit!

When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,

When the road you're trudging seems all uphill,

When the funds are low, and the debts are high,

And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,

When care is pressing you down a bit,

Rest if you must, but don't you quit.

Life is queer with its twists and turns,

As every one of us sometimes learns,

And many a failure turns about,

when he might have won had he stuck it out;

Don't give up though the pace seems slow,

You may succeed with another blow.

Success is failure turned inside out,

The silver tint of the clouds of doubt,

And you never can tell how close you are,

It may be near when it seems so far;

So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit,

It's when things seem worst, that

You Must Not Quit.

Tracy - I sometimes feel like I need a fill because I can eat but the last few days I am not able to eat much, probably because I've been so bad lately and pushing it.

I am on day 2 of Protein and I'm going to stick to it. I am still up and down but back down yesterday so i'll take it. I don't go back to the dr until the 21st I think.

So cold here overnight so I just loaded my dishwasher and prayed it worked (the line always freezes) and nope... so I should have just washed them - so I had to unload it and wash the entire thing by hand... YUCK

Off to wash round 2 of dishes, plates and silver should be dry to put away.

OH TRACY - Love your Jan pic!!!!!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
