With my surgery' date=' I didn't have nausea either due to dr prescribing the meds for it :-) It was very nice.

I'm going to ask for this-I get nauseated easily.

I am praying for everyone tomorrow. I wish I was going to be with you but instead I'm lying in bed with the stinking flu. Now I just hope my kids do not get it.

I'm praying you all do well and have a quick recovery. :)

Wish you were too! But ultimately there was a bigger plan and I believe your date will end up being the perfect thing for you. I know it stinks waiting longer.

Sending a prayer for your speedy recovery and that your kids don't get the flu also.

From what I'm hearing it depends on the surgeon. Seems that most of those with long liquid diets don't have to because they're already "liquidy" to put it politely. I only had two days of liquids so I had to do it in order to ensure I was "cleaned out" for surgery. It sucks let me tell you, although there is not much I wouldn't do to have this surgery. The drink is gross and running to the bathroom all day is no picnic in the park either. Just keeping my eye on the prize... ;)

How bad was/is the pain?!!

Im in hospital, had surgery yesterday. The pain is bad, but not so bad. Mainly things like sitting up, or adjusting hurts. But ive had 2 csections and i think its up there in amt of pain as those.

My Dr doesn't do that. It's one of those things that is Dr specific..

Glad to hear your doing well. Yes the sitting up and adjusting is the worse part of the pain. So I used the muscles less that were opened and stitched, every time I got up I raised the head of the bed all the way up that way it did a lot of the muscle work that the abdomen would have. Those of you who had surgery probably already do this.

Wow, it's finally here...the day I've been waiting for so long, that will help me to become a better, more healthy, happier me!

Not too nervous yet, just excited and ready-we'll see how it changes when I get to the hospital, lol. Praying that everyone post op is recovering well, my surgery buddy is at peace, and that everything goes smoothly for us today under the care of our competent surgical teams' hands.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
