My doc always told me to aim for an A1C under 7 and glucose between 100-120. I was taken off my Metformin (diabetes meds) at discharge from RNY i December and haven't checked my sugar since Christmas. I probably should, especially since I have an appointment with my PCP soon, but I know my sugars are in check.

My personal trainer kicked my hiney today!! We worked on arms (I told her that's my number one goal- No bat wings! I'm too young for that haha) and now they feel like jello!!

She said I am very strong, which I found surprising lol, and that if I wanted to I could probably compete in weight lifting competitions. This made me laugh hard because I thought she was being sarcastic, but she said I was chest pressing 70lbs (which I guess is a lot) and if I worked at it I could lift a lot more.

I will not be competing in any Strongman competitions hahahah

Ok girls, since I have just been hanging at the same weight I decided to try something a bit different to see if it would help. I decided to just drink liquids since I was going to be gone all day and then I had a big salad for dinner. Figured it couldn't hurt and I am really tired of eating period. Well, today I'm down 2 pounds. That's the biggest drop since before surgery. It may come back but I'm. Encouraged for today. Don't know if it just happened or something I did. I feel lighter today, too. Ohh, I hope it continues!

Personally, I would rather have a shake versus meat. Then a nice salad or fruit salad for dinner.

Congrats :-)

I wished I had 16s and 14s saved :-( But unfortunately I haven't seen those sizes in many years. I noticed today that depending on the name on the pants I'm 14 / 16.

When I lost all that weight between 9/2009-12/2010 I had to buy new clothes. Gave my bigger ones to my hubby's co-worker who had WLS. Unfortunately I ended up shoving the smaller stuff to the side and had to buy some new larger stuff when I gained it back. Boo! Won't be doing that crap again.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
