I would like to know if its normal too. Only food I would care to eat is fresh fruit.< /p>

Gen :-) 12/15/12

I was told that some don't feel hungry. I think it helps us change our mentality from living to eat to the healthier eat to live!!

I hope I have this issue after the 26th.. :-)

Since being here I've had about 7-8 bags of Antibiotic IVs run thru me. Now on oral antibiotics, yeah cuz I'm assuming might be discharged in a day or two. Yesterday one abscess was drained of 40CCs of Fluid which was going for testing. My dad and aunt said my coloring in my skin was like day and night from the day I was admitted at this hospital. (I guess Thursday I was ghostly and Friday my complexion was back :-) )

I have an ultrasound being performed later today on my kidneys. So far all good news. Also now most of the time I go to the bathroom it doesn't make me burst out in tears of pain. Just alittle pressure not pain. So yippee :-) Much improvement.

Yippee for everybody that had good news on Friday: Jodi on your great news on those ulcers :-) msixkiller and Teresa being taken off a lot of meds :-) Cyn's diagnosis for your reasons you've been nauseated and pain :-) Debbie for discovering the possible reason of NWL. That is great. So hopefully now it will drop very quickly :-) fingers crossed for you, lol.

I hope I didn't miss anyone who had great news to share :-D

I am so thrilled to hear your news Gen. Glad they are working on getting you back to normal and happy they found out the problems you've been having. Sounds like you are on the right track, but now you got to stay there. I still have my bronchitis (severe) and no voice. Just trying to talk sets me into coughing spasms and I've really had enough of it. Ending week two with this and I finally took some Benydryl to see if I could dry the sinuses up to avoid the constant drainage and coughing. On a better note, no longer have the UTI and feel so much better, the pain and pressure from that really sucks! Also went shopping today, finally, for new clothes. I was so amazed! Went from jeans/slacks 18W to 14 and 2XL to L in shirts/sweaters. I went to our local Goodwill and a couple resale shops and found some really nice items. Felt amazing! Highest price item for some really nice work sweaters was $4.99, looks like I found my newest clothing store, for now! As soon as I feel better I'll get around to posting pictures. Still need to eat more and get back to more Protein. Hate eating or drinking, but if I go to longg then my pouch acts up even worse!

I take the Celebrate Bariatric multi with Iron. Said not to take it with synthroid but she didn't say which element in it was contradictory.

I take synthroid and it can't be taken with Calcium or iron. I take all my Vitamins in the morning and evening and take synthroid right before bedtime. Hope this helps!

I was told your thyroid medicine should be taken in the morning alone by itself. No eating until a bit after you take it. This pill is helping your thyroid to function. The purpose of your thyroid is metabolism. I may be wrong, but it's what I have been doing for years. Hope this helps.

Had such a good moment today! Since mid December I've lost 43.6 pounds (had surgery 12/29). I had put it off for as long as possible but everything is falling off me. Jeans' date=' skirts, even my slips and garters are so baggy. Went to buy a pair of jeans today (my last pair from a plus sized store!) an I've gone from a snug 24 in December to a snug 16 in February!! They're a little snug, but much less than 22s that I use to wear were. What an amazing change! I'm already kicking myself for not doing this years ago. Glad you guys are moving in the right track and everyone seems to be making a move to well :)[/quote']

they found it during an egd thankfully' date=' no its not bleeding what was causing the bleeding was that my jp tube punctured my abdomen wall :0 they discovered this yesterday, so this is why I have been so nauseous, so much pain, unable to eat, so hoping they were able to seal the leak, close the puncture and now on high doses of prilosec and zantac to help with the healing of the tissues and the ulcer, I'm glad to hear that yours is on the mend thats wonderful! its amazing how the stomach is such a strong vital organ but when it's down, man it's down.

Yeah! That's scary! I hope they get everything fixed for you! It's awful having any kind of complications after this cause the diet and taking pills and eating on time, etc is complicated enough!! Saying a prayer you heal quickly and have no more issues!!

Release from hospital, kidney had went down in size some. Follow up ultrasound in 2weeks. Less pain in bladder, now more of pressure on the right side where the abscess was located.

So move to be home.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
