All of you December buddies that have had surgery. I wish luck on your recovery. May you heal without major setbacks, actually without any setbacks is even better. Good luck for every one that is having surgery this week. I'm on the 15th so very last/end of the week. Am nervous n excited. I am 40yo, whose divorce will finalize in March after 22yrs of marriage. (He has a gf that destroyed my marriage). Can't wait to get this new life started with just me n my daughters.

Praying God's mercy and grace for all of us going in this week. May our surgeons hands be steady and guided by God Himself, and let our nurses be kind and gentle like Jesus! Amen!

Anyone scared to eat? I am scared to go full liquids bc I so badly want to lose weight. I afraid that if I have some Soup or sugar free pudding I won't lose weight. I guess partly bc I haven't lost anything yet. Today is day 4 post op and I've only had Water and Protein Drink.

Lisa :-)<br />surgery date: Dec. 4th' date=' 2012[/quote']

I know what you mean about being scared to eat. Not because of weight gain, but because it kinda hurts. I had a little bit of cream of chicken soup today and I was miserable for a couple of hours. I think it had too much fat in it. I tried about 3 oz of Protein drink, that went ok. You will lose, you are probably still swollen from surgery.

Hi everyone. First post on this site every. I'm having gastric bypass 18th Dec. I survived eight years with band, lost seventy kilos. Had it out in september and have gained 25kgs in 10 weeks. Still experiencing issues with pain from adhesions, hence the bypass. Wht has everyone found the hardest thing post op? I had major pain with gas pain in previous surgeries, but no site pain. Is there much stomach pain after the ry bypass by your experiences?

Thank you. Still afraid to try my cream of chicken. I was really sick all day today but never threw up and I don't know why.

Hehe scooting over.

Hi there! I was banded for 12 years. I just had my surgery last Tuesday, but they took out my band and did my bypass all in the same surgery. My biggest pain site is where they removed my port from the band. I have had gas pains but nothing terrible. I'm only 5 days post op and I can tell you already that the bypass is so much better than the band! Good luck!

Thanks Lisa. I had too much damage so I asked for the op to be split into two. Getting the band out and then having the bypass. I so hope this is the better way, I was throwing up blood for weeks before the surgery, and throwing up in my sleep just didn't appeal to my husband any longer,

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
