OH Hang in there!! It is SOOO hard. I know. I have figured out thru this process I just can't have carbs. I love them so but as soon as I eat them, the scale shoots up. You can do this! We are here for you. Maybe start weaning yourself off of them? Antoher words eat less and less of the bakery items each day? I had to do this with chocolate.< /p>

I have found tracking what I eat helps the most. You might want to try my fitness pal and truly log in every bite you take... When you see how many calories are in those bakery items you might be less likely to eat them... Hang in there

I agree with Worm hang in there. That is going to be a challenge everyday you go to work but it will get easier every time you resist

It was a little harsh this comment but I must agree. We can't have major surgery & go back to old habits. They have nice low fat treats or once a month you can treat your self but if you keep going back to the bakery section your gonna gain more weight & regret it. Control your self. Everything in moderation is great. Just don't over do it. Sometimes I get a sweet tooth. I have 1 scoop ice cream & I'm done I then drink Water. If I keep on I know I will gain. I haven't gain yet don't plan to but it's hard I know but try to control it.

Not meant to be harsh. Sorry just don't want us to fail. Sometimes in certain situations were just setting ourselves up.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
