I had my 6 week post op visit yesterday. Surgery was Nov 12. Dos wt 248.6. 6week post op weight 207.8.

I really need some ideas for food. I'm having a hard time finding things I can eat. I was hoping there were some suggestions. I try different soft foods but find myself throwing up. I'm just scared

I went to the store yesterday and got the Morningstar and boca selection things- I love the Tom basil burgers. Had the veggie chx boca today. They are soft- full of protein. Feeling way better today and full!

Glad you posted this. I have been eyeballing these. I used to eat them for lunch all the time.

We need to start the six week 25 pound club!

I am there with you my surgery date was the 13th and I am down 28 lbs..

I am doing really well. Go back for a followup again tomorrow. Vacation was tough because I was trying to pick and choose from "real people holiday food"....scares me to think how much of it I used to eat! So glad my surgery had a huge impact on my desire for sweets and baked goods. I didn't really have time to work out (except doing 2 flights of stairs at least 5 times a day...yikes!) I am now down 40 lbs since my heaviest in Oct 2012 and down 31 lbs since surgery 11/26. Hope everyone is doing well now!

Anyone heard anything from Eva? Last I heard she may have been going back into revision. I was worried about her with the nightmare she has been through.

No I have not seen her around. I do hope she is ok.

On a side note, I can start salads next week. Scared and excited LOL

I haven't ate salads yet. I didn't know when we could. I know I am on regular foods but just assumed salads was like when we were 6 months out. I am going to have to try and see

Did anyone's doctor tell them not to color or dye their hair? Before I had the surgery I expressed my fear of losing hair....he said not to color my hair. My hair is in dire need of some touchup!

Lol nope. I was freaking out about hair loss too, so I got half my hair bleached then had a rainbow of colour put through. Cos I thought if I'm gonna lose hair it might as well come out in a rainbow...

No mention of that & have had color done x2 since surgery. I'm 6 weeks out & am fighting gray as hard as I can lol

I had salad starting at 4 weeks post op. it is yummy and sits surprisingly well.

I'm dyeing away. I'm 40 with gray hair. I'm not going to be bald and gray. Ugh.
