I had my surgery on November 20' date=' 2012 and I am down 25lbs. Struggling to get 800 calories in a day. I'm just trying to take things one day at a time![/quote']

We share the same surgery day...last I checked I was down 24..have not weighed for 2 days...finally got my xmas tree put away so my exercise bike came out today!

Me too. Went out and bought a strong blender. I am hoping I can be creative with my protein shakes.

We need to start the 25 lb - six week club Lol.

I know we aren't suppose to be having lettuce but I have been doing the baby spinach, tomatoes, cucumbers and a dressing called Litehouse Red wine and olive oil. I am eating mostly chicken just cooked different ways. Are you cleared for regular foods yet?

I'm on soft foods- been trying to be careful. I just can't eat but like 3-4 bites. I thought it would be a little more. It's just so different. I am doing well energy wise (well...better). Just having trouble changing it up. I am so sick of soups. I want some fish and have been doing a good bit of chx too. Just don't eat much at all.

my surgery was 30 November. I've started trying to "master" salad veges. tomatoes are going down well, lettuce is a bit weird to chew. Onions seem to be doing ok, and cucumbers without the skins.

I have been naughty and have been having blueberries too - its summer here so all the summer fruits are available and delicious - such a temptation

I am working on getting protein, but its becoming boring, no matter what I do to it. chew chew chew. I seem to be able to eat most things, but did stall for a couple of days over new years cos I was drinking low calorie (but still containing sugar) juice as my new years treat. lost 18 kgs post op (39 pounds I think)

I'm so glad I'm not the only one having issues eating! Surgery was 11.19.12 and I have lost 45lbs. I get hungry but still can't eat anything solid. I do my best to get in shakes but can only manage one a day. I know I'm probably only getting a few 100 calories but I vomit everything else up!

I am with you on not being able to eat or simply the thought of food makes me nauseous. I had my surgery on 12/4 and have lost 36# but I know if I eat my proteins like I should the weight would come off quicker. My friend from this site just mentioned we just need to plan our mesls better which I agree. But having a hard time getting it together.

Anyone have rash a few weeks out? I gave rash on all limbs. Surgeon and dermatologist have no clue.

I had a rash for about two weeks. I was allergic I the liquid pain meds. I had it for a while after I stopped taking them. Weird

I had multiple allergic reactions after surgery. I ended up allergic to the glue they used to seal my incisions and then I broke out all over my torso which I ended up in the ER with. Turns out I was also allergic to the iodine they coat your body with prior to surgery, kind of a delayed reaction. Took quite awhile to work out of my system....it was very frustrating.
