6 week post op apt today. Down 32 pounds since surgery! Wooo hoo!!! 15 lbs to go until onederland!!! Can't wait!

xo Hilary

You go girl! I am there tomorrow! Wish me luck!

I am starting to try to think of my weight loss in terms of 5lb bags of potatoes. Really..think about it. 20lbs down is 4 BAGS of Potatoes. I can't believe I was carrying all that extra weight around. Or 12lb bags of dogfood. Seriously people we are doing amazing for people who struggled to take off even 5 lbs before. Keep up the good work!

Army wife, thank you!!!

My hubby picked up a 25 pound turkey the other day and said here pick this up. Then said now do you still think you haven't lost anything? Lol

Also look at a pound of butter. Pure fat. Puts that "I only lost one pound" in perspective.

The first one is the morning of my surgery and the second is from about a week ago

Wow! Such progress, well done and keep up all the good work

Okay be honest. I'm down 43 pounds and I barely see a difference in my face. My daughter says I'm too hard on myself. (Also sorry about our crazy pic. There aren't too many of me pre surgery).

Hi! I sent you a mfp friend request this morning. I have been bad about filling in my food for a couple of days but I am back on the ball I think again now. Just got busy & let it slide.

Hi all! I had a post op visit with the surgeon yesterday. I am 7 weeks out & the last 2 weeks I have really felt like I was stalling & not doing well. I am not getting enough off my fluids in & still having a hard time finding food that tastes good...plus can still only eat a few bites, so I really didn't know what to expect. I am happy to report that he says I sm doing great & I have lost 27% of my excess weight already, which is 44 pounds since my surgery. (80 lbs from a year ago when I started the whole lifestyle change). So even though it seems slow to me, I guess it IS working!!! :)

Thanks tmw hang in there defiantly have stalls along the way I have decided to get rid of my scale and only weight my self when I go to the doctor so that I do not get stuck thinking about weight.

TMW, wow 44 pounds. I'm only down 31 since 11/19. Hope you feel better. I'm the opposite I can eat about anything and get "low sugar" hunger so I have to snack. I'm already terrified I will resort back to old ways.

Almost down to overweight with BMI from the alltime high of morbidly obese!!! It's the little things! One thing Im noticing: taste buds have changed so much! Can't stand sugar or fatty foods much anymore. My only issue really is watching the carbs. Im not tempted by food anymore. I NEVER thought that would be me! I can't drink milk much anymore. Skim milk even just kills the pouch!

LA GP! Nice job. :-)
