:: Morning Vent ::
I had my weigh-in yesterday and I told my doctor my concerns about my BMI. (thinking about the s**t is driving me nuts).Well I lost a total of 12pds and it dropped me to 40.7 from 41.9. I explained to him what the patient coordinator said, " if I am 40> by consultation i should be fine". He said " Well I can tell how much to not lose..." Thats when he came back with the "40.7".
Basically if I lose 5pds. I wont qualify... he expressed this and also said that
"it isn't necessarily bad to drop below either because any reduction of weight is a good thing,and if I can lose,I should go for it and avoid the potential complication that may follow RNY surgery." Although he didn't discourage me from getting the surgery, I felt like he wants me to give this 6 months an honest shot to lose weight. That's understandable! Then it hit me..., I know for a fact that the only reason I was successful losing pds. this month, or any other month, is because it was medication assisted! As soon as I stop taking them, the weight piles on with a vengeance!! I only have two more months of Rx for it and I can guarantee there will be a shift in the scale.. and not a good shift. I guess my case will resolve itself after the prescriptions stop.
