Hi everyone I am new to this site and having revision surgery next week from band to bypass and would love some suggestions of food to buy before I go into to the hospital and some comments about what to expect. I am excited but very nervous at the same time. Looking forward to reading your comments.

welcome welcome welcome. You will find a lot of info here as well as support, The few things I think you should have for sure (because a lot depends on what your doc wants you to have) sugar free Jello, sugar free Popsicles Water, crystal light, maybe low sugar gatorade or propel. and some low fat chicken and beef broth. Those are things you should be able to eat pretty soon, then the other stages come in when your doc or nut says. Wishing you the very best. I will be following you on Dec 5 if I can get my blood sugars to go down. The only problem I have had with the band is didn't lose very much weight and it didn't help the diabetes at all. I have had mine for seven years. I do feel that if nothing else the band has kept me from gaining more weight then i would have without it.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
