  1. Dotted nails: I have had the same issue with all of the rumbling in the stomach, my doc says its pretty normal and I have found that I needed a bowel movement to make it go away. I am now eight days out and find its a little better but still present occasionally. Keep up the great work!

  4. So odd I am struggling with the same issue. I am not blabbing my private business to many people and am especially worried about what to say to my in laws. Today we said I am sick and I stayed home. But I am also only eight days out from surgery.

  6. Hi I had my surgery the day after you and agree it is totally difficult to get your Protein but I saw my doctor already to get my drain out and she said don't worry as much about the protein but focus on the liquids so you do not get dehydrated. Everyone has already given such good suggestions. I have also been able to tolerate so sf Jello and a few bites of whey pudding but I am mostly living off a few sips of shakes , chicken broth, and a little bit of cream of chicken soup. Keep sipping you surely do not want to end up back in the hospital! Valarie/lapband06

  8. Vicki I am supposed to keep the drain for two weeks because I had the Lapband in first so they took it out and them did the bypass. The surgery was also much longer five hours. I am sore but not too bad just jealous that my family is eating and I am doing shakes. I think the emotional side of this is going to be much more difficult to deal with. Valarie
  9. Hello November dates, Who went in last week? I did on Wednesday so I am now six days out, four days home from hospital. Doing ok just a little trouble with my drain. It keeps leaking onto the bandages even though they rest itched it in the hospital. How is everyone else doing?

  24. I am new to this site but am scheduled for November 14th. I had Lapland seven years ago and it has slipped and now I have a hernia so band coming out and bypass going in.
  25. My surgery is on November 14th but my hospital does not require any liquid diet, lucky. But I too made a huge turkey dinner for my family so we could celebrate together so I look forward to eating it next year that's all. Valarie
  26. Yes you do deserve a second chance the band has not had great long term results. I lost 70 pounds with it seven years ago but now mine slipped and prolapsed and I am going in on November 14th for revision to bypass. Do it for your health I am scared too.
  27. Hi everyone I am new to this site and having revision surgery next week from band to bypass and would love some suggestions of food to buy before I go into to the hospital and some comments about what to expect. I am excited but very nervous at the same time. Looking forward to reading your comments.
