My last day of my liquid diet. Even managed to go out and watch a football game at bar yesterday. Took my mug of warm broth, drank Water and a container of muscle milk light. I made it thru the wings and celery and chicken wrap and frys around me but almost lost it for the pretzel.

Heading to the office to wrap up some paperwork, finish up cleaning and packing then Ill be ready to go to the hospital at 530 tomorrow AM.

Its taken this whole year to get to now and I AM READY.

Is there any one else out there with surgery tomorrow?

Speedy recovery to all those who are postop and here's to seeing you on the losers bench.Blessings to all those having surgery this week and thru the end of October.

Thursday is making its way quickly. My hubby woke up this am with what seems to be pink eye. Needless to say we are at the doctor. Got my revision approval letter, as the surgery scheduler forgot to put that in before..... So now to just get my work stuff done and I will be good to go! Best of luck to the other surgeries this week!

Hello everyone! Sorry for my delay in posting. My surgery went well good on the 9th. No complications at all. I don't remember being wheeled into or out of surgery. I was really worried about post op pain & I had none. I stayed 3 nights in the hospital which consisted of walking & resting. I am able to tolerate liquids as if I didn't have surgery. I have to be careful not to guzzle fluids. I thought I would have trouble sipping but that's no issue. I'm gettining in popsicles, pudding, Jello, Carnation Instant Breakfast, G2 gatorade & creamed Soups. Is there something that I'm missing? I feel like I'm not getting enough of my fluids/protein in. (?) I wasn't given any instructions from discharge at the hospital. I know someone will come along & help me out here. Thank you for your insight!!

Congrats to those how had surgery with me!!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
