Hardest Thing About This ?

Recommended Posts

The hardest thing is this underlying feeling of uneasiness. I think it's from not processing feelings. I used to eat when I was upset. Now I don't. So I need to find something else to help me cope. Working out helps. Talking helps. I think it's time to start that counseling they talked about in class. 9 weeks out and -50 pounds.

I think this is my biggest problem and you just brought it to the surface for me. I have been feeling very anxious and I can't figure out why. Now it all makes sense!! Thank you!!!

Finding what to eat. If I happen to be on the go I'm not thinking straight so I think carefully if I go in this restaurant will the food be greasy & I'm gonna vomit. Will I look like a fool ordering food to have less then half then have to take it home.

My hardest problem post op is not dumping! It sounds positive but it's not! I know in my head I shouldn't eat certain things (and I don't give in) but I also know I could eat it without getting sick. Know what I mean? It's mind over matter!

For me the worst is behind me. The pre op liquid diet was the worst. I have really had any problems. I lost 82lbs. Mind over matter. I love working out now, I love the look on people's faces when they see me

I'm having surgery on the 26th and i'm missing not drinking so much so fast. I'm doing it now so I can be use to it. I know there's no drinking and eating but sometimes I forget. I never knew how much and how fast I really drank until i've learned to limit myself.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
