Todays The Day!

Well, I'm sitting here waiting for my ride to the hospital. I'm excited, anxious and nervous.

I barely slept. Kept waking up thinking I had eaten something. (lol). Oh boy. I can't wait for a healthier happier me!

Good luck to everyone else having surgery today. I will keep you all in my prayers.

See you all on the loser's bench!

Wow. This is something alright. Lol Not "painful" but it's not pleasant. Pretty uncomfortable. The cotton mouth is far the worst ever. Thank you all for your well wishes and prayers! :-)

Any tips on the gas besides burping and walking?

Again, thanks to all of you. I have such an amazing support system just on here. :)

I would sit in your bedside chair and just get up and move around the room between walks. Just the getting up and down will help too. A warm shower should help when they let you.

Oh my nurses had me brush my teeth almost immediately. That and those sponge pops dipped in Water helped -just don't suck out the water!

Its a long day but just one day! Welcome to the other side :)

WOOOOT good luck and enjoy the start of the new you!

Try laying on your left side. It might be uncomfortable but it works.

Lift your left arm over your head. That's what worked for me - guess it stretched my insides or something. But I sure looked silly on my walks with my arm over my head- but it worked! Lol
