My3stars, 5DPT was good, really good! I wasn't trying to lose weight with it, just see if my pouch was still working and tight, or if I broke it or stretched it. In the 5days I lost 5.4 lbs. it's given me new hope. I realized what I've been doing wrong and working very hard to correct it. I still have an appt at the end of next month to get some well needed follow up care and guidance. I'll let the dr tell me if I need a revision or the injection I read about. Possibly just sitting with the dietician will do the trick. I'm on my way.... 5.4 down and 26.6 to go!!! Which revision are you doing? How did you come to need it? You can message me personally if you like. We can always use each other for support. =)

I watched Carnie's revision back in March it went well and she had lost a lot of weight within the first two weeks that I watched. Good luck with both of you ladies in your revisions and its real nice to know that there is a plan B for when I'm long term. I admire you all's commitment! Go team!: )

I am doing the rny revision. I had lost a total of 170 lbs and over the last two years have gained 53 of it back. I decided to go back to my surgeon and after a serious of test I have a dialated anastamosis. He decided the best thing was to re-do the rny. I was very honest with him and know that some of this was me falling into bad habits, but I knew not all of it was. To this day i still do not drinks anything carbonated or drink with my meals. My pouch itself was not stretched but the food basically is emptying too quickly and my anemia is pretty bad from not absorbing. Thank you so much for your reply and yes it would be great to support each other!

I just had surgery Friday 7/6. My dr told me 3 weeks. Right now I feel like I could take all three. I'm on clear fluids and think I'll do better when I get to the all fluids stage. Glad you could make it back so soon. How do you set up your food intake at work?

I heard Carnie Wilson Phillips is having a revision. I heard her talking on Dr. Oz and she had RNY...and now they are going to put a Lapland around the pouch somehow. I guess there are many ways you can get a revision.

Her procedure is called Band Over Bypass AKA BOB. This revision procedure is great for people that regained weight lost after having the gastric bypass. Carnie got the Lap Band placed over her Gastric Bypass procedure. She's now a spokeswomen for the Lap Band.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
