I had mine with dr coon in riverside and he is the best!

Follow directions and you will be having a speedy recovery.

He is amazed by my progress but it's because I was dedicated to follow through with everything.

I just have to ask this...why, oh why are we not having some kind of get together when so many of us are in Southern California? Something informal would be so cool. A day at the park for a group RNY picnic or something? It would be so awesome to meet everyone, don't ya think?

As for me I'm just barely in the Inland Empire in Pomona and I work in Orange county.

If any one is interested, send me a message.

Wouldn't it be great to have a group picture with all of us together?

Count me in Ms. Jen! I'm in South Bay but my wife works in O.C. as well. There seem to be a lot of folks who either live or work in O.C. and there are tons of great parks (maybe Mile Square, Irvine Lake, Disneyland?). I would love to meet everyone and exchange experiences on our journeys!

I think at Methodist hospital in Arcadia. My Pcp is referring me to a gastric doc. I'm guessing though.

I'm in Mission Viejo and will have my surgery 10/3 at FVRH. Nice to see some neighbors on here :)

Your surgery will be on fountain valley?

Wow, 8 days? How's that liquid diet coming along? Is your Surgeon with the LePort group? His name sounds familiar. I had my surgery with one of their surgeons but I had mine at Chapman in Orange.

Oops pushed send on accident...

5 day liquid would start on Friday but I've already lost 3 so we will see if I will need to actually do it.

I started off my first weigh in at 227 and when I saw him my weight (there) was 218 at home it was 213 and now at home it's 210 so I'm not too worried about it.

How's your journey going? I am so stressed out waiting to let someone cut me up. Between work and surgery anxiety, I'm kind of shutting down a bit.

Best wishes to all with your upcoming surgeries !!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
