Stomach Virus with a band ~

Question. I am going to be banded in a few days (Yaahhhoo!), however, I have developed a strange worry. My daughter (5 yrs old) came home from school with a terrible stomach virus and have been vomiting.

Luckily I have escaped the yucky virus. But, if you are banded and did indeed develop a stomach virus, how can you possibly go through the vomiting stage? My poor sweetie threw up for several hours, wasn't just a time or two. I am worried about how my body would be able to handle such an event. Anyone already banded go through this? If so, how did you handle?

Thank you.
