I'm in although I haven't had surgery yet. I'm trying to lose for me now so that hopefully after surgery it's not so hard. I have been doing a Protein Shake for Breakfast for the past month & a half. I'm officially down 10.5 lbs since march 5. This week I lost 3.5 lbs, I'm at 286

Hi I did the same thing when I started my journey. I stopped eating fried foods, no soda, no sweets. I have dropped 27 pounds. I was doing the shake thing for breakfast. So now on my pre-op diet it wasn't so bad. My surgery is Monday 2/3 :-)

I was 187 ,this week. The last i weighed before my niece died a month ago was 179..so upset...ready to give up. I just didn't care over the last month. Just eating too much too often, I guess.

Don't give up because of 8 lbs, put it into perspective. You need to mourn your niece and focus on family. The weight will come back off. For now just take it one day at a time, hon. You are in my prayers. Remember you are in it for the long haul. ((((Hugs)))))

I won't give up...just need to stop snacking and eating st weird times. Back to my three meals plus two snacks.. And no peanuts. My niece was so proud of me....time to get back on track. Grief does weird things to food addiction.

Just got weighed today, another 8 lbs gone, 40 more to go.

I'm 18 weeks post, i know we shouldn't "compare" weight loss, but i was hoping to have lost more. I'm kind of feeling down atm, i've been watching what i eat very closely. My husband and i go to the gym 5 days/week. The first 50lbs came off rather quickly. Is it normal to slow down this much?

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
