Im Ro, 32 from Chicago, I was 276.4, before surgery, now I'm 262.2, it's crazy how slow my weight is coming off, so I'm starting to get a little discouraged, but my doctor says everything is fine. I just got my first adjustment dec7,2012. Hopefully more weight will come off now.

I was 30 something once! LOL! Quite a bit more "mature" when I had my surgery almost 31 weeks ago but I've lost 106 pounds and feel like I'm 30 something. Does that count? :-)

RMAO @ "barely still in their 30's"!!!

That's too funny.. I never thought about it that way. I'm 39... Had ny surgery almost 5 months ago and u fdel better than I did BEFORE I hit my 30's. LOL

I'm actually looking forward to being in my 40's... My birthday is in November so I'm planning FOR MY FAMILY to throw me a nice lil Shin-Dig! But I'm the party planner of the family with the creative out look so is kinda love to throw my own party.

Im loving my new body.. I'm the same size as I was in 8th grade. (2 snaps with a twist... Can't touch this!) LOL

Yes ... I'm feeling myself! Enjoying every bit if this journey!

Bring on the Grown and Sexy 40's..

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
