  • I got sleeved Oct 16 I'm 5 days post op, what helped me with liquids was to use a teaspoon to slowly drink my broth, lemonade, chamomile tea and iced water up until I got discharged from the hospital,

  • Sleeved on the 19th. Going through mood swings here and there. TMI: I poop twice a day. Not sure why it happens so often but it does!

Post op 1 week today.

A few questions .

I am eating small portions of yogurt , cottage cheese, sliced chicken , sugar free ice pops, per my dr instructions. Also drinking high protein , low sugar drinks, I wonder how long the gassy feeling after eating and drinking lasts?

And does anyone feel nausea after eating?

Please add me to any emails or face book accounts

I was sleeved yesterday, although I had been scheduled for the bypass, so I was posting in the bypass group up until now. My surgeon couldn't do the bypass b/c my intestine wouldn't stretch up far enough to reach my stomach. He'd tried in early Sept and couldn't do it, so had me do a full month of liquid diet to lose some weight, and this time he said it was much closer but still would have put too much tension on the incisions. I had consented to the sleeve if he wasn't able to do the bypass this time.

I came home this morning and immediately took a long nap, since I got almost no sleep in the hospital. Right now I'm trying to drink an Isopure beverage, which has 40 gms of protein in 20 oz of liquid. Will probably take me the next 10 hours to get it in LOL.

My surgery was on 10/14! Tomorrow I start my puréed foods phase. I am getting excited as I think my tummy is tired of liquids. I am not sure if anyone else was like this, but today I have been hungry. Anyone else have this issue?

Surgery was Oct 5th... Have to say finally starting to feel physically normal... Still need help getting all fluids in..also on solids but afraid to eat don't want to gain!!

Please add me. I had the sleeve 10/20/15. My name is KP . I am in Florida. My email is krnrox1@gmail.com. Thank you !!! ( I am on FaceBook also)

I was sleeved yesterday (Oct 28) at Naval Medical Center San Diego. Very little pain. I can walk well. However, I'm having a hard time getting my in liquids. One ounce of protein shake and one ounce of water makes me feel like I swallowed a bowling ball. I know it will get better but at the moment it's a stuggle.
