  2. My "last supper" was at Chuy's Mexican Restaurant. I couldn't bring myself to have my favorite chimichanga; as I was already doing my pre-op diet to get a good start on it before the official start of my Pre-op. So I had a taco salad instead [emoji5][emoji39]

  19. Yep you can walk them! Of course serious 5Kers do run, but not this girl. I do walk fast and keep to the right of traffic. Not sure where you live, but here in Houston there is a group called Houston Wellness Project where it offers free registration to participate with the 5 K. Maybe something equivalent where you live. Try Googling free 5K's. Just a thought!!
  20. People can be so uneducated and that just makes my head hurt!
  21. I do 5K's once a month as that was one of my resolutions for 2016; however I don't run! But awesome that you do that though.
  22. I use Premier Protein- Chocolate. Their bars are awesome as well
  23. Yesterday was 6month sleeviversary! First picture is the day of my surgery on 10/14/2015 and the second pic is 4/14/2016! I really do not know how much weight I have lost as I don't like to weigh myself; but I believe I have lost at least 70#.
  24. It has been awhile since I have been on here, so I thought I would sneak in here for a bit. #1. Day of my surgery (10/14/2015) #2. 1 month anniversary #3. Walk for diabetes (1 1/2 months) #4. 2 months anniversary #5. 3 months anniversary

  27. I have thought about this as well. There are people who exercise to lose the weight and they are successful at it. Sometimes I think to myself, did I do the "easy-way-out". But really, I shouldn't think that way and I will not let people assume that is what I am doing. Obesity happens not just by eating horribly, but one has to consider the genetic factors as well. I am not using my genetics as a crutch; however prior to my sleeve, I had horrible cholesterol, HTN, and sugars were definitely not good. Since then, I have dramatically improved. I look at my sleeve as a preventive measure from ending up like my mom and grandparents. I don't want my son to see me end up like my mom whose diabetes is has taken its toll on her. If this will prolong my life to a healthy state, then I am all for it!
  28. 11/14/2015 is my one month post-op! As of right now, I do not know how much I weigh, as I do not like scales. However, my last weigh in is when I did Vitality Health check for my employer and at that time I weighed 222#. My beginning weight was 255. It was roughly 23# that I had lost prior to my surgery. So, today I had my son take my one month sleeversary pic. ???? I am glad to see everyone else's success!! ????
  29. I was trying to think of recipes myself during my puréed and soft food phase and I decided to try ground turkey with cream of celery soup. Not bad, maybe some seasoning may be needed. Another combo was ground turkey and avocado. Nice to see other recipes on here ????
