I'm waiting on approval for the gastric sleeve. I just started the process last Wednesday. I heard about the 6 month supervised diet period. Is there any way around this process?

I have UHC and I don't need to be on a y month diet,. But I will put myself on one..with the help of my nutritionist.. I think it is important to be on a weight reduction diet before surgery.. It should test your readiness with the sleeve.. Cause once it is done , no going back.

Btw, your policy with UHC may dictate something different.(about pre op diet)

True, this will definitely be a lifestyle change, so it's good for me to get mentally and physically prepared. Thank you for your reply.
