December seems so far away! I haven't been approved yet but' date=' I am hoping since my last weigh in is December 5th my insurance will approve it in time for me to be sleeved by the end of December. Anyone one else out there not yet approved and hoping for a December sleeve? I see quite a few people already have their December date. How did your date get scheduled out so far in advance? My Dr. probably won't even try to schedule me until my insurance gives the OK.[/quote']

I am hoping for a December date but am skeptical. I have my fourth NUT next week, the Psych at end of Oct. I did get a letter from Orthopedic stating a recommendation for weight loss surgery. Hoping Insurance approval will be kind and quick!

I guess when December gets closer we will be more excited. To me right now it just feels like the waiting game. When I actually see an approved paper. Then I will believe it's real  .

I am scheduled for Dec 9th. I'm so excited to finally get this started. I had Lapband Jan 2009. I lost almost 90 pounds then had a slip and revision surgery in May 2010. Then I started having problems again and had it removed in March 2012. I've since gained all the weight back that I previously lost (that has been pretty devastating!). I can't wait to get on the losing track again.

That must have been very disheartening for you, to have so much success and then have the lap band become ineffective. I read so many posts regarding the band and it being so unsuccessful.

Welcome to the December sleeve group! :D

I have started to follow some of the healthier eating patterns that we'll have to adhere to after the surgery. I found an online store that has a great selection. BariatricChoice.com offers a lot of incentives and reward credits. You will receive $20 off your order of $40

or more. It is a secure site . I was able to get $20

off my first purchase of $40 or more. You immediately begin saving and can

get more for your money. You will also receive

$20 in reward credits for anyone you refer that orders from bariatricchoice.com. I ordered the 2lb

canister of Roadside Lemonade Syntrax nectar

Protein drink and the Ostrim Natural

beef sticks, and Chocolite bars and instantly

received my $20 off plus free shipping. My

grand total after the credit was $36.36. For

everything.. Anyone who knows about the

Syntrax

nectar, knows it $36.99 by itself. So I'm

extending a referral to anyone that

wants to order from them. You will not be

disappointed.

Just go to: https://www.bariatri...efer/id/112948/

and use the referral code: 8696996

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
