clothes size

This maybe a silly question but I'm 6'1 and 306lbs, I wear size 3XL shirts a 44 pants, I have to order uniform for work and I don't know what to order? What size should I expect to be at my 200lbs goal? I'm thinking XL shirts and 40 pants

This man http://mybodygalleryformen.com/photos-30868-body-shape.htm?StartAt=0#.UkbHnxBq2VA is 6'1" a 34 pant and Large shirt. Check out the site and you can get an idea of what you might look like at different weights. I've been using the mybodygallery women's site since I started my journey and I'm even a participant, uploading my photos and clothing sizes every 20 pounds or so.

If you don't have to order now I would wait. Height and body composition play a big role in what size you will be wearing.

I would recommend ordering limited numbers of pants and shirts for either work or casual clothes. You will probably drop 2 sizes within 2-3 weeks. Beyond that you will may drop 1 waist size per month over the next few months. I started at 6'1, 325, 3XXL, 44 Waist. Today, 8 months later I am at 248, XL Shirt, 36 Waist.

So depending on your workout level and build you could end up between 34-38 waist. I strongly recommend buying inexpensive clothes from resale stores, Walmart, Sams Club etc until you get to your end weight. Dont spend a lot of money on anything because you wont be in it long..

Good luck!

I started pretty much EXACTLY where you are. My surgery was 07/08/2011. 200 pounds was my goal weight, but 8 months post op, I was at 185. When I was at 200, I still was carrying too much fat, so I didn't go into maintenance mode until then. I bounce between 180 and 190 now 2+ years later.

Sizing was a wild trip. My clothes fit fine for the first 40 pounds, which was so disappointing. But then, things started changing. Middle of September, I was in a 40 pants. 2 weeks later, 38. Month after that, 36. Two weeks later, 34. Shirt sizes dropping just as rapidly.

I now wear a medium shirt and a 32 pant. It is difficult to wrap my mind around, but that is the reality. Thinking you will be an XL with a 40 waist is big man thinking. I can pretty much guarantee you will be much leaner than that.

If you go to my gallery under my profile, you can see my before and after pics.

6'1 and 225 and am wearing 38 and XL. I can get into 36 but they are tight. And I started at 279 pounds and a 42 waist and XXL.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
