Pre-Op /Clear Liquid Question

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

I start my 1 day Pre-Op tomorrow. (Clear Liquids).

This may be a silly question, but if I drink tea (with NO milk), am I allowed

to have any sugar or artificial sweetners in it?

Yikes!:omg:

I think sugar or artificial sweeteners are fine, but I wouldn't do the milk. Clear Liquids are considered something you can hold up to the light and see through it. Milk doesn't fall into that category. Good luck to you and let us know how you're doing.

Hi, Ruthie Here from Saint Louis. My surgery is scheduled 2/1. I start pre-op on Sat. for 5 days. I was told I could have coffee, tea, sugar free Jello, apple juice, popicles, gatorade and add Isopure Protein power to my food getting 50grams daily. I also need a chewable multi vit and calcuim 1000mg a day.

I have heard alot of folks here saying they REALLY like the chewable VIACTIV multi's in chocolate. Good luck on your surgery. I hope to get banded this spring sometime.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
