Has anyone used Smooth Move Tea for Constipation? It was recommended to me but then I was warned about cramps that senna can cause... I'm curious to see what contrasting opinions I get... I like the idea of using something more natural rather than my current Miralax/Colace cocktail...

I've used senna and had no cramps. I think as long as you don't make a habit out if it, it's not bad for you.

I occasionally use Smooth Move tea. It does not give me cramps. You only need to drink one cup and you will go that day or the next.

I also really like Natural Vitality Calm raspberry lemon magnesium supplement. You mix 2 teaspoons in Water. I like heating up 3 ounces Water and adding it.

I use Smooth Move if it's been at least three days since my last BM. I am 6 months post op. I use it maybe once every three or four weeks. I make a cup just prior to going to bed. I have always had relief within an hour of waking. No cramps and I've never had it not work. But you will need to be able to repeatedly get to a bathroom quickly for a few hours. Good luck!

I use Laci Lebeau tea, Miralax, colace and milk of magnesia.

Good! Glad you have a cocktail that works. Constipation has been a real issue.

Used Smooth Move in the past with no issues. Something else I have found is that when I consistently have a Greek yogurt just before bed I stay regular also.

I've use Smooth Move as well when I can't stomach the thought of my Milk of Magnesia. MoM gets me moving a lot better, but Smooth Move is better for you.

I just found out about Natural Calm magnesium supplement. It was recommended to me for Constipation. After weeks and weeks and weeks of very uncomfortable, painful, and stressful constipation, I have found the holy grail! I use one heaping teaspoonful every other night, and I stay regular. If not, I up the dosage. Try it! I hope it works for you too!

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
