God didn't let you come this far for nothing. Erase your fears... Ok October 2nders! One week away! Who's getting nervous /excited? My preop has gone better than I expected. My work had to adjust my break schedule a tiny bit so I could eat at different times cause I was getting 'hangry' lol. I work at a afb taco bell, so all the good smells weren't helping. Now everything smells weird to me.

Just think, some of us will be waking up from surgery this time next week!

My pre-op diet is going well too. I am only on low carb diet. I have lost about 6 pounds so far. I'm pretty happy with that. I know you liquid pre-op-ers will shatter that! Can't wait! just 6 days until my pre-op. I have a swarm of butterflies in my stomach constantly though

I'm getting very nervous. I've not had surgery before so I've been thinking can I just live with this weight. Ugh!

Feeling so much better today! Very nervous still, but my husband gave me that calmness I needed last night. He also told me to stop watching the you tube video of the procedure. Has anyone else seen that? 7 days from today.

A week away and I am so excited! My surgeon only has a preop diet 2 days prior to surgery. My birthday is Sunday so I am going to enjoy it to the fullest before I start my liquid diet. So ready for this journey and glad there are others on my day. Where is everyone from? I am from Charleston, WV, having my surgery in Huntington, WV.

No preop diet since I was fast tracked to surgery. Anyone heard how awful post op co2 gas was. I had it after gallbladder & it hurt for 3 days, no incision pain, awful co2 dissipating into skin and shoulder. Miserable. People say oh walk it off. It's not that kind of gas, that suggestion is useless. I looked at sev other surgical sites, no recs.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
