Sometimes i think i get hunger and gas pains confused. Believe me I cant wait either. But i have no idea what i want to eat. Im getting use to it too. It really is a all day thing. I go back to work tomorrow, so we will see how that goes. Its very light duty so i think i will be ok. When do you have your next appt with your surgeon?

I think I would have been cool to go back to work this week too. I'm glad to have the extra time off, though. My next surgeon appt is the 19th, so about 2 weeks and 2 days out.

I am not confused at all about hunger. It is very clear to me. It is a lot like a newborn baby. I get hungry every 2 hours or so, eat or drink, and am happy for a while. :)

Hey y'all!

Tomorrow is THE day! I'm excited and nervous at the same time. Surgery is at 10 AM. After that I will be starting a brand new chapter in my life - the skinny one!

I'm on liquids for 2 weeks and am off work until December 2nd so I plan on sipping, walking and resting.

Please keep me in your prayers for a successful surgery and a speedy recovery.

God bless.

~Susan.

Day one of pre-op diet begins today!! Sweet husband of mine just called on his way home from work wanting to know if I wanted Whataburger. Very funny man! Guess I'll go back to sleep with the smell of it testing me. Anybody know of bacon cheese burger sugar free Jello? Well sweet dreams and best of luck to all pre-op newbies and those who have having their surgery today. Stay warm and God bless!

Hey y'all.

My surgery was today and was it great. My surgeon was very pleased. I'll be in the hospital until Thursday. They are taking excellent care of me. So far the pain has been minimal. I am on a pain med pump, ice chips and Water. And, of course, up and walking.

My thoughts and prayers continue to be with everyone here. Please keep me in yours as well for a successful an speedy recovery.

Getting sleepy. Will update tomorrow.

~Susan.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
