It will be easier than you think.

During the first day I thought I'd die. By the fourth day it was nbd.

My surgeon allowed me a 3 oz serving of solid low fat Protein daily if I can't handle the liquid only and I haven't had to resort to it.

It's been nice seeing some pre surgery weight coming off. :)

I'm doing my pre op diet now and haven't even lost that much weight. It's just 3 protein shakes a day and 2 cups of non starchy veggies. Plus water water water!!! Been doing it a week and have only lost about 2 kilos (4.4 pounds I think) that worries me a bit :(

I was seriously surprised how easy the pre-op diet has been for me. Of course, not the first couple of days... that was the hardest part. But after that I realized I wasn't really physically hungry, I just wanted to grab stuff and eat it which is really the type of habits I need to break. So once I got past that, the diet was really easy. I am on day 6 of a 14 day program. I am using the time to try out all the different protein drinks. I really like the EAS low carb Chocoate Royale ready made shakes and the Unjury Vanilla shake.

Congratulations on getting your surgery date! Hooray!

My surgery is scheduled for Monday, Sept. 23rd, so I am on the third day of my five day liquid diet. Day one and two were rough, but day 3 has honestly been a breeze. I don't feel hungry. I did change things around a bit today. Today I began drinking my Protein shake when I got up. I didn't wait until my normal Breakfast time. I think that helped a lot! My pre-op is clear, sf liquids and 3 Protein shakes a day. I am hoping that days 4 and 5 are like today! :)

Best of luck to you!

What kind of Protein Shake did you get?

It's interesting to hear how everyone is preparing for surgery. I just met with my Dr. Yesterday and she said I don't need to do the full liquid diet just two shakes a day. Right now I am drinking turbo chocolate hydro whey.
