I agree!

My personal trainer keeps getting me to commit to being "on track" more than 85% of the time.

Shrimp, chicken breast, tofu. You should really limit beef and pork.

Gail update your ticker I want to see your successes! if you don't remember how I can help.

What time is your appointment on Wed?

I did not get an appetite back until 2 days post surg. But I was thinking I wanted all these incredible no-no foods, but when it came time to cook or fix something I opted for Jello and Soup and cream of wheat.

Hmmmmmm......You know..... Maybe I bounced back so quickly because I was not banded and restricted to what I could eat.

Even though I did not have an appetite that has NEVER stopped me from eating. Intersting concept.

Oh! I was also doing the shakes post op too! Because I did not know what the next step was or if I could or could not and was just keeping my options open. When the shakes are an option they are like REEAALLY good chocolate milk! LOL

I have not heard anything from him.

Had to be at surg ctr @130, thinking his surg was @3pm maybe he is hanging out with his mom a bit or just coming home and getting re acclimated with his favorite chair before he writes.

Hmmmmm Men!

Hey guys,

I am back home and doing pretty good. GAS pains are pretty bad, but they come and go. The port is tender too. I tried to post from the SC but I could not get a good enough signal. Oh well

Thanks for all the good thoughts

Chris

Congratulations Chris! I am glad to hear that everything went well! Take it easy and take care of yourself.

Hey guys a word of advice. Don't work out to hard to soon after surgery. I am back on the couch with a heating pad and liquid tylenol. Take it easy!

Dr Mock was my anesthesiologist. He is awsome!! He was a specila request. My Mom LOVES the way his paitents come out of surgery.

Just had a little bit of babyfood applesauce, was pretty nice

Gas X strips work incredibly.

Were you nauseated coming out of anesthesia? How long after you were banded did you wake up?

Being the first thing you ate since bariatrix, tell me how delicious is applesauce;probably the best applesauce you ever tasted right?

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...
