Hi all,

I got a list of the Vitamins I need. Multi, Calcuim w/D, and Iron w/C. They did suggest the chewables. I have looked online to buy them. Funny thing is all of them require 4 chewables each. Is this what everyone takes. It is of course kind of expensive then but that is ok but how does anyone eat that much everyday?

I take as many in liquid that I can find. I found the best selection of everything at the health food store, you can even get capsules and break them up in your Protein Shakes. Careful of the Iron, it constipates! Just an FYI, I was told to resume the iron once I became regular again.

I honestly had to switch Vitamins pretty soon after the surgery. They put me on the Purity chewables, but they were terrible. They were so bad tasting and big that I was not taking them, which is obviously not advisable. I called the doctor's office and they said I could take a regular multi-Vitamin as long as I supplemented other nutrients. They gave me a list of specific Vitamins and so now I take 4 of the Gummy multi-vitamins and 3 of the "hair, nails and skin" vitamins (all from costco). It's a lot more pills, but it's about the same price when all is said and done and now I'm TAKING them. :)

Talk to your doctor though.

I looked up all my Vitamins at Walmart. I had to go into the store to read the labels though. I'll be buying my Calcium, Vitamin d & Multivitamin from there.

I'm doing

Citracal calcium citrate plus Vit. D 150 chewables $14.99

Centrum Complete chewable Multivitamin 100ct. $9.49

Vitafusion Vitamin D3 2,000 IU funny Vitamins, 150ct $8.99 (2 a day. 1,000IU each)

Was looking at Ddrops at Walmart.com it a liquid formula for $28.97 but its 2,000IU's per drop.....so 1 bottle will last you a whole year. I just went and did the math, the funniest will wind up costing me about $45 dollars over a year so its cheaper to buy the liquid one and be done with it.

I have a high potency B-12 that I bought. It's 2500mcg's. I just don't remember where I bought it from...lol. I will though because with me having to take 500mcg a day or 1000mcg 3 times a week I could take my 2500mcg once a week and be done with it. I'll get back to you when I find out the cost and where I got it from.

All & all Walmart will be my new best friend as far as vitamins go.

Oh, and the best part of what I found is the Calcium & Multivitamin are 1 a day so one bottle will last a few months.

I hated the chewables they made me want to throw up. I switched to regular Vitamins after about two weeks. I take a men's Multi-Vitamin in Target's house brand 3x a day and Vitamin b-12 one x a day, and Citrical petites calcium citrate 3x a day. I also just started taking fish oil for my cholesterol once a day, it is still a little high. All of my labs have come back normal, besides the cholesterol. I would call my doctor and see what he would suggest. Good luck.

It depends on what stage you are on. In the beginning I did all chewables, or gummys....but now I just take normal Vitamins. As for the expense....look at it this way: your grocery bills have been cut by at least half, so paying a lot for vitamins shouldn't take to much of a chunk out of your wallet! Hehe good luck to you! :)

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
