Amusement park rides

Recommended Posts

Went to the amusement park the other day and it was great not having to worry if the safety bar would come down. Little do my friends know that is why I haven't been to one in years. My highest weight when I started my journey was 363 now down to 210. Glad I embarked on this lifelong trip.

This is one of the things I am looking forward to the most! I want to lose about 20 more lbs to be sure I won't have any issues and then I'm heading to the nearest amusement park (Dollywood) even if I have to go by myself. None of my nearby friends like amusement parks -- don't understand that at all!

My children are 19, 15 & 13. It's sad to say, this past summer was the first time I've been on a ride with the kids since my oldest was 13... (I went with him on a class trip, got stuck on one of the rides...both of us died of embarassment, I never rode again)

We went to Eliches and rode EVERY RIDE TWICE!!! OMG we had so much fun. That day alone made my surgery worth more than all the gold in the world. My kids were so happy...

Now I want to ride a horse! Since I won't torture the poor beast now!! :)

Ya know, I used to LOVE amusement parks. But I just can't convince myself to get on one now! Lol!

So happy that you were able to ride with your kids! That is truly amazing!

Congrats!

They scare the crap outta me! Lol! I have no fear of heights, I'm just super weary of everything! Things go wrong everyday. I think it has alot to do with childhood, when I was forced on the tallest roller coaster in the world... In Texas at Astroworld. It may have scarred me for life. Lol

I like the stupid kiddy rides... Like the train and the elephants... Lol!

I would MUCH rather ride a live animal, than a machine... Which makes zero sense. Lol!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
